The ingredients for your perfect “ Bloody Mary “ are down to personal preference, with some flavour notes receiving more emphasis to enhance preferred taste. I like mine having just the right amount of spice and saltiness combined in the tomato juice - with the Chilli just lingering in the background as the final clincher of flavour
Ingredients
- 1 litre tomato juice (1.76 pints)
- 1 tsp prepared horseradish
- 1 tsp. Tabasco® type hot sauce (use a hotter sauce if you like to have more bite)
- ½ tbsp. Prepared English mustard (Gluten-free if on a GF diet)
- 1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp pickle juice (Gherkin or similar)
- Generous grinding of black pepper
- Sea salt – to taste
- ½ teaspoon of fish sauce (Thai Nam Pla or similar) (optional)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a blender and mix well. Place in a suitable container (glass bottle or jar), seal and keep overnight in the refrigerator. Serve next day over ice. Can be served immediately after blending, but the flavours will not be as intense
Notes
