Tan Rosie’s garlic and pepper sauce

Made from a family recipe using Scotch bonnet peppers, this hot sauce is great when used as a marinade or added as an ingredient in casserole type cooking.

Using my three rating system I arrived at the following scores for an overall rating of 4.5 out of a maximum of 5 points

The makers of the sauce recommend that it should be used in this way and indeed, I agree. In my opinion, when it is used as a condiment, it is quite tart, with a strong note of vinegar coming through.

Barring this, it is a great tasting sauce with an excellent fruity chilli flavour combined with just a hint of garlic. The heat level is just right.

Worth buying for marinades  and  as an ingredient in Caribbean cooking
