Rujak sayur is a vibrant Indonesian salad that combines crisp vegetables and juicy fruits with a bold, tangy dressing. Ingredients
For the salad:
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 pineapple, cubed
  • 1 green mango, sliced
  • 100g bean sprouts
  • 100g cabbage, shredded
  • 1 apple, sliced
For the dressing:
  • 2 tbsp palm sugar
  • 2 red chilies
  • 1 tsp shrimp paste (terasi)
  • 1 tbsp peanuts, roasted
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Prepare all vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling (if necessary), and cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mortar and pestle or food processor, grind the dressing ingredients into a smooth paste.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all the prepared fruits and vegetables.
  4. Pour the dressing over the fruit and vegetable mix.
  5. Toss well to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing rujak sayur!
